The new barn at Bromac Lodge holds 25 horses

Although Bob and Denese McArdle have used the Bromac name since 1973, it was not until 2002, when they decided to relinquish their foundation shareholding in Nevele R Stud, that they considered the possibility of escalating the Bromac Brand into a commercial broodmare operation. Bromac Lodge has been in operation since 2005.

Montini Bromac, a Bromac star of the 70’s was a son of Timely Knight and one of the horses whose success promoted Nevele R's rise to fame.

shine such as Attorney General  (1.48.4), Ulrica Bromac 1.49.6, the fastest male and females bred in New Zealand at that point; Howard Bromac, Auckland Cup Winner, Tanabi Bromac Victorian Derby Winner,  Swapzee Bromac,  Australian Pacing Championship winner, Selby Bromac South Australian Cup Winner and Yvette Bromac won one of the first finals of the DB Fillies.

In 2006 daughter Lisa joined the family business taking over the administration role of Bromac Lodge.

Daughter in law Marianne set up the initial website and designed the logo and graphics and still helps out from Austria. 

Having put together a high-class band of mares the family’s is to continue to produce quality race horses.
