TANISA BROMAC DAUGHTERS FOR SALE

Bromac Lodge
Published by Jeff Scott in News · 16 March 2018
It was three years between winning drinks for Twitter Bromac but she delivered easily as a hot $1.60 favourite at Manawatu on Tuesday, March 13.

Twitter Bromac was untroubled to lead throughout and gave nothing else a chance in the run home, winning as she liked by 3 ½ lengths in a comfortable 2:33 for the mobile 2000m, quickening over her last 800m in 58.4s and final 400m in 28s.

In the process, she advanced the growing score of broodmare Tanisa Bromac (TT, 1:58.1), hot on the heels of her half-brother Torrid Bromac lowering his mile best in North America to 1:53.3 two weeks ago.

Bromac Lodge have yearling filly Makie Bromac, by champion sire Bettor’s Delight from Tanisa Bromac, and Twitter Bromac’s 2YO sister Sheza Bromac, by Mach Three from Tanisa Bromac, available for purchase.

Twitter Bromac, at three, won at her fifth start at Roxburgh and looked set to progress further but despite racing solidly in Canterbury, had found winning elusive, until Tuesday.

It is just another reflection on the widely held belief that winning in Canterbury is one of the hardest areas to win a race.

Rolleston trainer Jamie Gameson freshened her and transferred her to West Melton trainer Michael House as part of the latter’s latest raid on the Central Districts circuit.

House, despite being based in Canterbury, has found an opportunity for many Canterbury horses to win at Manawatu this term, and is the leading trainer of winners at Manawatu this term, with 21 successes.

He won four on Tuesday, all with newcomers to racing at Manawatu, and the majority have been driven to win there this season by NZ’s leading driver Blair Orange.

Orange five on Tuesday and has recorded 24 of his 146 seasonal wins this season at Manawatu. He has a 30-win lead over Dexter Dunn on this season’s NZ Drivers Championship.

Twitter Bromac (two wins) is just one of five individual winners of 42 races for the progeny of Tanisa Bromac (Live Or Die-Tanisa Vance).

She’s the dam of two $100,000-plus winners in Torrid Bromac (eight NZ & eight USA wins) and Tijuana Bromac (1:57.5, 15 wins & $124,897).

Besides Twitter Bromac, her other winners are good WA winner (Black) Mr Mach (1:56.5, nine wins & $84,109), the two-race winner Trinity Bromac, a Bettor's Delight sister to Makie Bromac.

Tanisa Bromac has plenty going for her, being a half-sister to four smart winners including fast USA miler Ross The Boss (1:50), who won 10 in NZ for $99,445) and has banked a further $404,654 from 24 USA wins.

Its also the family of Tallyho Bromac (1:53.7), Kotare Jaeger (p2, 1:56.9), former NZ 3YO mile record holder Kotare Mach (1:53), Kotare Yael (1:50.8, US), Fake Denario (1:48.4, US), Tullow (1:50.2, US)
