Lincoln Road, a gelded son of Sir Lincoln and Tania Tandias (Falcon Seelster-Tandias Courage), scored a hat-trick of wins in his latest Queensland racing at Albion Park on January 4.
The four-year-old won in a smart 1:54.5 rate (1660m) in the second of his Albion Park wins on December 28, overcoming the second row over the sprint trip for driver, Brendan Barnes.
Lincoln Road made the most of the five gate for his latest win in the Sky Racing Pace at Albion Park last Friday, working to the front around the first turn.
He was always in control thereafter, winning as he liked by 3.1 metres in a 1:56.2 rate for the 2138m.
Lincoln Road was sold to clients of the Queensland stable of Alistair Barnes in October.
He previously won four, and was three times placed, in 13 NZ outings for Lincoln Farms Bloodstock Ltd, and trainer Ray Green.
His last NZ outing on August 30 resulted in a head second to open class performer No Doctor Needed in the Te Awamutu Cup at Cambridge.
Bromac Lodge is breeding from Banshee, the unraced Christian Cullen first foal from Tania Tandias, the latter also featuring as the dam of other winners in speedy fillies, Zanibar Babe (1:56.9, Aust) and Lincoln's Girl (1:56.7).
Tandias Courage, the dam of Tania Tandias, was a former Bromac Lodge broodmare stand-out.
She was the 2000 Australian 2YO Pacing Filly of the Year, winning 23 races (10 Aust, 13 USA) pacing 1:53.6 in North America.
Tandias Courage is the dam of dam of three $100,000-plus winners, all Harness Jewels-placed, namely Tatijana Bromac (p3, 1:54.2 & $215,578), Tandias Bromac (1:53.7, 14 wins & $193,951) and NZ Oaks third placegetter, Te Amo Bromac (1:55.8, seven wins & $147,252).
