TENNYSON’S WINNING FORM HIGHLIGHTS DAM, TALLULAH BROMAC

Bromac Lodge
Published by Jeff Scott in News · 28 May 2018
The fourth 3YO win in 12 starts for the promising All Stars pacer Tennyson Bromac at Addington on Saturday, May 26, continues to highlight lightly-raced Bromac Lodge broodmare Tallulah Bromac.

Retired after two starts, 11-year-old Tallulah Bromac is on the market for $15,000 in foal to young Bettor's Delight sire Betting Line (p3, 1:47.2f).

The resulting foal will be a three-quarter blood brother or sister to Tennyson Bromac, the NZ 3YO record holder over 2000m of 2:23.9, a mile rate of 1:55.7.

Tennyson Bromac also has a fastest winning mile rate over 1950m this term of 1:55.3, was race-timed in 1:53.5 when fourth to Alta Maestro in a NZ Sires Stakes 3YO Heat at Addington last November.

The smart Bettor's Delight colt rated a slower 1:57 in winter conditions on an easy track to take out last Saturday's rating 56-75 Fernlaw - Garry Thompson Solictor Mobile Pace.

Driver Tim Williams gave the favourite every chance from the six gate, easing him back to past midfield early, then improving a lap out to be parked outside Alta Shelby beginning the final 1000m.

Tennyson Bromac held late closer Mikey Maguire by a neck.

Tallulah Bromac (Artsplace-Tandias Courage) has made a promising start to her broodmare career.

Her first foal Twinkle Bromac (by Rocknroll Hanover), was a former $100,000 yearling, retired to stud unraced and was recently re-sold by Bromac Lodge.

Second foal Turbo Bromac (by Mach Three), has won six of 21 Australian starts for $26,470 and taken a 1:59.4 mark over 1755 at Wagga.

Tennyson Bromac, a $60,000 yearling, was her third foal, while her fourth, Tommy Bromac (by Falcon Seelster), is a two-year-old being tried by David Butcher.

Tallulah Bromac is a half-sister to three $100,000-plus winners, all Harness Jewels-placed and all sub 1:56 fillies, in Tatijana Bromac (p3, 1:54.2, 8 wins and $215,578), Tandias Bromac (1:53.7, 14 wins and $193,951) and Te Amo Bromac (1:55.8, 7 wins and $147,252).

Another half-sister in Tania Tandias (Falcon Seelster-Tandias Courage) is the dam of Zanibar Babe (p3, 1:56.9, two Aust. wins from 12 starts, and Lincoln Road, a winner of two from eight Auckland 3YO starts for Lincoln Farms trainer, Ray Green, this term.

Tallulah Bromac's dam Tandias Courage won 23 races (10 Aust, 13 USA) pacing 1:53.6, and was the 2000 Australian 2YO Pacing Filly of the Year.

Mother Courage, a sister to Tandias Courage, was the 1999 Australian 3YO Filly of the Year and joint 2002 Australian Aged Pacing Mare of the Year, winning 30 races and $462,520.

This is also the family of other stand-out Australian pacers in 2015 Inter Dominion champ Lennytheshark (1:49.2, 39 wins and $2.99 million), Classic Garry (19 wins, TT, 1:54.9 and ,550) and Provocative (TT, 1:53.8, Aust, 19 wins and ,662).

  • Bromac Lodge is also offering Tallulah Bromac’s half-sister Tiffany Bromac, a 5YO unraced

sister to multiple Gr. 1-placed filly Tatijana Bromac, for $25,000, in foal to classic-producing sire Art Major.

Tiffany Bromac, although unraced, showed some promise, qualifying in 2:00.7 when fourth in a 2YO trial at Ashburton in July, 2015, for West Melton trainer Michael House.
