BREEDERS CROWN FINAL – HERE WE COME!

Another superb effort from Zeuss Bromac has guaranteed a start in Sunday’s rich Downbytheseaside Breeders Crown Final for the two-year-old colts and geldings.
The Bettor’s Delight colt was even considered unlucky not to trouble the Emma Stewart-trained pairing of Be Happy Mach and Mirragon in Saturday night’s semi-final at Bendigo, slotted three-deep on the markers and out far too late to issue a challenge.
But pleasingly for trainer-driver Zachary Butcher the pocket-rocket went to the line full of running and full of confidence heading into the big day, this Saturday night at Tabcorp Park, Melton.
They rated a slick 1:55.8 for the 2150m home in 26.9 and Zeuss Bromac barely raised a sweat.
Barrier draws are now keenly awaited for Saturday night. Winning or losing these major finals often come down to the luck of the draw and here’s hoping ‘Zeuss’ can strike early with a plum barrier draw!
Fellow Kiwi Our Princess Tiffany took control of her semi-final and won her way into favouritism for All Stars in the three-year-olds fillies section, and Perfect Stride, trained by Ray Green and driven by Anthony Butt, was successful in the first of the two-year-olds colts heats, and set to match motors with Zeuss Bromac in the final.
