Prolific Bromac Lodge broodmare Sabrina Bromac and another star producer in Crown Defender have had their sales confirmed to New South Wales horseman, Jake Stockton.
Sabrina Bromac, an unraced daughter of Live Or Die and Soho, has been a huge success at stud, leaving nine individual winners from her first nine to race, all in 1:58 or faster.
Her progeny have won 146 races for $1.24 million in stakes.
Her latest winner Simba Bromac (1:56.2), a gelded son of Art Official, won his 11th race from 20 starts at Northam, West Australia, on Sunday, April 22, taking his earnings to ,022.
Her 10th to race, Shamrock Bromac, ran seventh at his only start as a two-year-old this term for the Geoff Dunn stable in an Ashburton mile last December, won in 1:57.2.
Sabrina Bromac's other winners include Slick Bromac (1:57.3, 33 wins and $256,107), Smudge Bromac (1:53.2, 36 wins and $460,958), Seshny Bromac (1:53.9, 12 wins and $124,554), Ardle McArdle (1:53.3, 28 wins and $280,014), Shakti Bromac (1:55.1, 14 wins and $118,457), Tuscan Breeze (1:56, 12 wins and $88,311), Spike Bromac (1:54.7, 9 wins and $65,295) and minor NZ winner Sherlock Bromac (one win, $3738).
Now 17, Sabrina Bromac is in foal to world record holder, Always B Miki (1:46).
Bromac Lodge also have her three-year-old daughter Skye Bromac (by Shadow Play) available for sale.
She was mated with fast USA pacer Sweet Lou (1:47) in her maiden stud season this term.
Mr Stockton’s other broodmare purchase, Crown Defender, has quickly made her mark at stud, leaving two sub-1:53 pacers in Cruz Bromac (p3, 1:51.6, 1:50.7; 14 wins and $190,075) and Carter Bromac (p3, 1:52.4, 11 wins from 27 starts).
The unraced Life Sign-Classic Blue Jeans mare has also left other good winners in Churchill Bromac (1:57.3, 13 wins) and Coltrane Bromac (1:57.5, 8 wins).
Crown Defender's half-sister Crown Counsel (Western Hanover-Classic Blue Jeans) is the dam of the winners of 67 races, headed by Our Cullens Crown (1:52, US), winner of 46 races (five NZ, 11 NSW, and 30 in the USA), for $490,044; Attorney Stride (1:57.5, 13 wins and $80,258; Falcon Crown (5 wins and $44,876) and debut Australian 2YO winner Desirable Stride (1:58.6, mile rate, 1650m).
Another half-sister in Classic Art (Artiscape-Classic Blue Jeans) who time-trialed in 1:55.1, left only one foal in Art Connoisseur (1:58.5, 14 wins and $83,660).
Crown Defender's dam Classic Blue Jeans is the top producer of 10 individual winners, nine in 2:00, including Attorney General (1:48.4, US, 20 wins and $434,952), formerly the fastest NZ-bred pacer, Cullen Bromac (1:55.1, 20 wins), Crown Counsel (TT, 1:58.1, one), Crown Bromac (1:54.1, 15 wins), Captain Bromac (1:57.8, 15 wins), Chay Bromac (1:59.2, 3 wins), Chiquita Bromac (1:58.7, 5 wins), Mink Stride (5 wins) and Cindy Bromac (1:57.6, 3 wins).
Crown Defender was sold in foal to former champion youngster Courage Under Fire.
Bromac Lodge has grand progenitor Classic Blue Jeans, now 22 and in foal to Sweet Lou (1:47) also on the market.
An opportunity exists to also purchase Can Can Bromac, a three-year-old unraced Falcon Seelster daughter of Cha Cha Bromac (Art Major-Classic Blue Jeans).
In her maiden stud season, she's in foal to $3 million winner, Captaintreacherous (1:47.1), a top performing son of Somebeachsomewhere.
