Western Australia war-horse COURAGE TELLS continues to prove not only his own versatility, but the versatility of former champion pacer and sire Courage Under Fire, bouncing back from an eight-month hiatus from the winners circle to win at Gloucester Park in Perth last Friday night.
And the rugged pacer will shoot for back-to-back successes in the $20,000 The Rookie New On Ch7 Pace at Gloucester Park this Friday night, seeking to add to his 35 career wins already on the board.
His record stands at 226 starts, 35 wins and 56 placings for in excess of $380,000 in earnings since he began racing in New Zealand, then Victoria, New South Wales, and off to his long-term home in Perth where he resides with Greg and Skye Bond.

Another August 2 winner by Courage Under Fire was TOMMY UNDER FIRE, a gelding out of Jenna’s Beach Boy mare Aliya Nicolle.
He bounced back to winning form at Albion Park last Friday night in rating a slick 1:53.5 over the 1600m at Albion Park to win his first for new trainer-driver Taleah McMullen.
Tommy Under Fire has won and placed twice in five starts for McMullen after she took over the training from Riverina horseman Trevor White.
Tommy Under Fire, now a seven-win pacer will go around again this Friday night at Albion Park at 7:29pm AEST, 9.29pm NZT.
