DYNAMIC BROMAC LOWERS CAREER BEST

Bromac Lodge
Published by Jeff Scott in News · 23 July 2019

Dynamic Bromac, who became a $100,000-plus winner this year for owners Diane Reilly and Russell Keller, lowered his best winning mile rate to 1:53.9 over 1650m at Bendigo last Friday.

Driver Kima Frenning found a perfect run through from the second row, taking up a one out and two back trail.

The Live Or Die-Diana Bromac gelding had the last say, winning by a neck in the Bendigo Ski Boat Centre Pace.

This was his 12th career win from 70 starts, lifting his earnings to $11,359.

Dynamic Bromac's dam Diana Bromac (Holmes Hanover-Desrain) foaled a Falcon Seelster colt last year and was bred with Sweet Lou this season.

Now 21, she's left seven to race for seven individual winners of 57 races.

Dynamic Bromac is the second biggest winner (numerically) and the second fastest winner for Diana Bromac, with his Bettor's Delight half-brother Dickies Bromac still holding that honour with 16 wins (for $113,110) and a 1:53.1 mile rate.

Diana Bromac's other winners include Domino Bromac (1:58.9, 10 wins, by Courage Under Fire), Dolci Bromac (2:00.2, seven wins, by Falcon Seelster), Diamond Bromac (1:58.4, three wins, by Live Or Die), Dazzle Bromac (one win, by Live Or Die) and Dustin Bromac (1:57.3, eight wins & $88,620, by Live Or Die), a good NZ winner for the Cran Dalgety stable.

She had plenty going for her at stud, being an unraced sister to the speedy Linford Christie (1:59.7, six wins & $72,732), and a half-sister to 1990s 4YO Pacer of the Year Abdias (1:55, 30 wins & $245,200), former NZ mile record holder), a former star when prepared by John and David Butcher.

She is also from the family of another successful Bromac Lodge mare in Pascale Bromac (1:57.1, 6 wins & $96,193, was a former NZ 2YO filly record-holder) and Dalton Bromac (1:52, 12 wins & $132,803, NZ 2200m record holder).

Further back she’s from the same family that produced champion mare and 1981 NZ Harness Horse of the Year, Delightful Lady (1:58.7, 47 wins & $476,250).
