Pow Wow Bromac, the first winner for Parfait Bromac (Artsplace-Pascale Bromac), edged past the $40,000 in earnings at Shepparton, Victoria, on Friday, April 6.

The 5YO Rocknroll Hanover gelding was too good after trailing in the $10,000 C4-5 mobile pace, then moving out to take control turning for home.

Pow Wow Bromac, driven by Lisa Bartley for trainer Isabel Walsh, held Willem by a neck in a 1:57.8 rate for the 2190m for his seventh win in 31 starts.

He has a career best mile rate of 1:55.9, set when also winning at Shepparton last June over a 1690m trip.

Bromac Lodge is currently offering Parfait Bromac for sale.

She is carrying a sister or brother to Pow Wow Bromac, being in foal to Rocknroll Hanover.

Parfait Bromac, who was retired after only two starts, is a daughter of former NZ 2YO filly record holder, Pascale Bromac (1:57.1, 6 wins & $96,193).

Pascale Bromac (Holmes Hanover-Desiblue) numbered wins in the Gr. 2 Nevele R Stakes and a NZ Sires Stakes 2YO Fillies heat, was the runner-up in a Great Northern Oaks, third in the NZ 2YO Sires Stakes Fillies Championship, third in the Gr. 2 NZ Welcomes Stakes against the boys, and also ran a third in the Gr. 2 Queen Of Hearts for mares at Auckland for trainer Paul Kerr.

Parfait Bromac is a half-sister to the good NZ and Victorian winner Pepe Bromac (1:54.3, 11 wins from 46 starts for $101,933).

Her third dam Desiblue is an unraced half-sister to Zedechias (8 NZ wins, 1:54.2, US) and is from the same family as former top 1990s 4YO Pacer of the Year Abdias (1:55, 30 wins, former NZ mile record holder), Dalton Bromac (1:52, Can, 12 wins & $132,803), and former champion mare and 1981 NZ Harness Horse of the Year, Delightful Lady (1:58.7, 47 wins & $476,250).
