Published by in News ·
Simba Bromac's 18th win for the Australian season from 25 starts, which concluded on August 31, is the most in a single season since former WA star Has The Answers achieved the same number in 2011.

Has The Answers also won 24 races in the 2009-10 season and won 76 races during his illustrious career, from 240 starts, for $1.32 million.

Simba Bromac, by Art Official from former Bromac Lodge broodmare gem Sabrina Bromac, was completing his first full season of racing, as a 4YO.

He raced six times at three for a win in Victoria at Cobram , two seconds and a third, before relocating to West Australia for his 4YO racing.

The Karl Deiley-owned, and Nathan Turvey-trained pacer, has been a revelation at four in the West, taking a 1:52.8 mark over 1730m and notching eight of 18 seasonal wins at Perth's top track, Gloucester Park.

Simba Bromac, the latest $100,000 winner for his Live Or Die-Soho dam, now has a lifetime record of 31 starts for 19 wins, six seconds and three thirds, for $128,776 in stakes.

He showed good gate speed from the seven gate to lead up in the $25,000 wwww.Gloucesterpark.com.au The Schrader Final Pace, winning as he liked by 9.3 metres from fellow NZ-breds, Mitch Maguire, Arthur Lowe and Livura.

Simba Bromac rated 1:57 for the mobile 2130m on this occasion to wrap up a notable season.

The first nine foal to race from Sabrina Bromac are all winners, including six $100,000 winners.

Her other six-figure foals include: Slick Bromac (1:57.3, 33 wins & $256,107), Smudge Bromac (1:53.2, 36 wins & $460,958), Seshny Bromac (1:53.9, 12 wins & $124,554), Ardle McArdle (1:53.3, 28 wins & $280,014), Shakti Bromac (1:55.1, 14 wins & $118,457).

Sabrina Bromac's other winners are: Tuscan Breeze (1:56, 12 wins & $88,311), Spike Bromac (1:54.7, 9 wins & $71,584), and minor NZ winner Sherlock Bromac (one win, $3738).

Sabrina Bromac's first nine foals have collectively won 162 races and just over $1.5 million in stakes.

The 18-year-old broodmare was sold to New South Wales buyer Jake Stockton during the winter Bromac Lodge dispersal sale, and has been subsequently exported to Australia.
