Former big-winning racemare Jillbo featured in April as the grand-dam of unbeaten West Australian juvenile, Jaspervellabeach.
A colt by Somebeachsomewhere from Alderbaran Bromac (Falcon Seelster-Jillbo), Jaspervellabeach racked up his third win from as many starts in last Friday's Group Two ,000 Champagne Classic 2YO Pace at Gloucester Park, Perth.
Jaspervellabeach, owned and trained by Kristy Elson, made the most of a good run on the outer in the Classic for driver, Nathan Turvey.
Out and attacking before the turn, Jaspervellabeach led rounding the final turn and held out Secret Operation by half a neck in a 1:56.9 rate for the 2130m.
Jaspervellabeach's older half-brother Aldebaran Macha has also made his mark, taking a 1:54.7 record, having won 17 races and $134,722.
Their dam, Aldebaran Bromac, is the unraced first foal from Jillbo (1:53.8, US), a winner of 27 races world-wide, for $351,214, before returning to NZ for her broodmare career at Bromac Lodge.
Jillbo, now 24, is a daughter of Caprock and Fringant (Nero's BB-Fabriani, by Garrison Hanover-Bright Highland).
She's the dam of five to race for five winners, with another Joshua Bromac, qualifying in NZ, but was unraced after being exported to Australia.
